I used it when i installed a laminate floor (which i plan to pull out and put in pallet floor as soon as i acquire enough pallets. it worked great with the laminate and plan to use it when i do the pallet floor. You can repurpose old pallets, which are often made of old hardwood, and use them as flooring for a home. however, you must do a lot of work to get the pallet boards in shape for flooring. this includes planing the boards to uniform thickness and adding a tongue and groove into each board so you can lock the boards together on the floor.. Make sure that you understand how to operate the drum sander before you begin. after the sanding is finished and the floor is at the desired level of smoothness, vacuum all of the dust away. apply a floor sealer, if desired. now that your floor is prepped, apply a minimum of 3 coats of a high-quality wood floor finish..
